Harran Ancient City
The history of the ancient city of Harran, which is among the oldest structures in Anatolian history, dates back to BC. Scientific studies and history researcher documentary director Tekin Gün writes that zoning works started in the region at the beginning of 5 thousand years, and the foundation traces of the ruins point to the Early Bronze Age. The surface researches in the region and the data obtained from scientific excavations shed light on Şanlıurfa archeology. Hittite tablets of the middle of the 2nd millennium BC are mentioned in cuneiform (an agreement between the Hittites and Mitanni).
