Mardin Grand Mosque
Today's minaret was built on a square base in 1888/1889. According to the inscription dated 1176 on the minaret, the mosque, which has sixteen inscriptions, was named after Diyarbekir Meliki II. Kutbettin Ilgazi had it built. According to the inscription in the courtyard, it was built by Hüsameddin Yavlak Arslan, one of the Artuqids, in 1186.
