When examining the residential architecture in Anatolia from the Neolithic period to the present, it is seen that Amasya has a unique architectural tradition. The types of houses developed by the Turks after they came to Anatolia can be seen. Hamish construction technique was used frequently. Due to the natural structure of the wooden culture, Seljuk and Early Ottoman houses have not survived until today. However, the last period of Ottoman residential architecture examples have survived to the present day.
