Putka Lake
Putka Lake, at an altitude of 1950 meters above sea level, was declared a 'natural site-qualified natural protection area' by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, General Directorate of Conservation of Natural Assets. Putka Lake, where the waters recede in the autumn and rise again in the summer, is home to migratory birds and mammals with its 4,181 hectare area. The lake, which is an important habitat for hundreds of birds, mammals and reptiles, especially the apple-headed duck, is one of the places that attract nature lovers and photographers with its plant diversity and nature.
