Ahmed-iHani Tomb
It is estimated that Ahmedi Hani was born in 1651 in the village of Han near Hakkari. It is thought that Hani got its name from this village or from the Haniyan family, a member of the Hani tribe living here. Hani traveled to many parts of Eastern Anatolia and studied Arabic, rhetoric and religious sciences; He was also interested in astronomy. Ahmadi Hani, who lived in Cizre, the cultural center of the region for a while and wrote his masnavi Mem û Zîn here, later went to Eski Bayazıt (Doğubayazıt) and died there. A tomb belonging to Ahmed-i Hani is 8 kilometers from Doğubayazıt. away, on the upper part of the Ishak Pasha Palace. It is one of the most visited shrines in the region.
