Our ancient city, Harput, is one of the cultural heritages of Anatolia with its cultural and artistic riches. Its unique music culture is the accumulation of centuries and is important. Folk poets who grew up in Harput; Due to the fact that Harput is an administrative and cultural center, and due to the high civilization and knowledge they lived, they were highly influenced by divan poets and poems. The fact that Harput was an important stop on the caravan routes in terms of trade enabled Harput music to interact with other musical cultures. “Harput Music Museum” was established in order to promote Harput music, which has an ancient background.
